Qonklese funerary practices
Qonklese funerary practices consists of different sets of traditions across Qonklaks. Across the Quoncosphere, the traditional colour of morning is blood red, symbolizing loyalty and sacrifice.
Practices
Upon death, the household of the deceased will drape a blood red banner. Typically, those within the direct household (excluding extended family relations) must observe a full year of mourning, which includes only wearing clothing in blood red. An obituary is sent out to relatives informing them of the date of the funeral. Traditionally, the funeral must occur within a week of the death.

As per the instructions in the Rites of Hiang, mourning of a monarch by the entire nation has been practiced by every dynasty starting from the Kingdom of Hiang.
