The nation is de jure a Hanctheist theocratic monarchy, ruled by its current monarch, Overking Âns I. Since 1976 it has been ruled by a military junta current led by yóncler Taicodúchites Roanaps Êboriöns of the Holy Eigoncacherís. It is the oldest continuous polity in the region, having existed in its current form since 856 CE.

The very first Ciánic-speaking peoples existed in a loose trade confederation of city-states along the Ioxian, Laptian, and the Meloryan Seas from around 200 CE to 623 CE. In 1976, the military forcibly removed the democratically elected government and established a military junta, removing the democratic reforms that had followed the Great War. The military junta outlawed all parties except for their own puppet party, the Protection League.
