History
The Imfól, started as a small appointed advisory council to the archaegus. Following the independence of Thullumia, a greater need to allow the constituent îerreí to participate in governance was needed. The Imfól Reform Act of 1815 was promulgated to reorganize the Imfól into a parliament that would include appointed members from each of the 32 îerreí. This system remained unchanged until the Imfól Reform Act of 1956 introduced numbering seats based on the 228 aedir instead.
